Tim Poehling

Senior Vice President of Operations, Ingenix

Tim Poehling is senior vice president of Operations for Ingenix, where he oversees innovative software and services that enable health plans to optimize the efficiency and competitiveness of their provider networks. He also drives the development of strategies and technologies that help insurance companies measure the quality and costs of physicians and hospitals, while empowering consumers to select the best health care providers and treatments based on meaningful data and intelligence.

Poehling has 15 years of experience leading mission-critical supply chain initiatives designed to enhance business performance through a combination of process improvement and technology implementation. He joined Ingenix in 2005, after leading strategic consumer-driven health technology initiatives at Uniprise, a legacy UnitedHealth Group company now part of UnitedHealthcare.

Previously, Poehling served as managing consultant in the supply chain and operational solutions practice of IBM Business Consulting Services. In this role, he was responsible for leading the design and implementation of strategic, technical and process-oriented solutions across a wide range of industries. He also was co-founder of Arthur Andersen’s J.D. Edwards Integration Practice. Between 1997 and 2000, this practice grew to over 300 consultants worldwide with annual revenues in excess of $60 million.

Poehling holds bachelor’s degrees in Marketing and Economics from the University of St. Thomas.
