Jim B-Reay serves as a Vice President of Business Development at Healthia Consulting, the health care provider consulting arm of Ingenix. Healthia Consulting, one of the nation’s fastest-growing health care consulting firms, offers management advisory, solution delivery and revenue cycle optimization services to health care providers.
B-Reay has been working with Healthia since 2001 and has vast experience in the healthcare technology system implementation arena serving in the following roles:
- Project Manager for the implementation of a cardio-vascular information system for a county hospital with a significant teaching arm
- Project Manager for the implementation of a hospital revenue cycle system implementation
- Project Manager for the implementation of a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) system for a large integrated delivery network
- Project Manager for the strategy, selection and implementation of an enterprise wide electronic medical record (EMR) for a specialty pediatric hospital
- Project Manager for the design, development and commercialization of an eligibility verification portal
- Project Manager for the design, development and deployment of a personal health record (PHR) system
- Director of Decision Support for a pharmacy benefit management company
Through his experiences, B-Reay provides expertise in the hospital system implementation from the point of system strategy and selection to implementation and optimization. He has extensive experience working with healthcare providers to define requirements and implement technology solutions within hospital settings, and he has a keen ability to obtain provider support and time contributions for such initiatives and garners strong adoption of the new technology. In addition, he’s completed numerous organizational and IT assessments for healthcare technology firms reviewing business and IT processes in addition to technology components such as development and QA methodology reviews. B-Reay holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Macalester College.
