Brandon Miller
Vice President, Product Development Property and Casualty, for Ingenix
Brandon A. Miller is responsible for initiatives in E-billing, Anti-fraud detection, Provider Search and Medicare Set-aside products in the Ingenix product portfolio.
Miller has special expertise in workers’ compensation issues, having worked for 19 years in the marketplace as a vocational rehabilitation counselor, a mediator, a claims adjuster, and claims supervisor. He served more than seven years as Director of the Minnesota Special Compensation Fund, which was responsible for the administration and regulation of the Second Injury, Supplemental Benefit, Asbestosis, and Uninsured Employer Funds.
From 2000 through 2005, he worked with Hays Companies, a national Insurance Brokerage firm on the Workers’ compensation consulting practice. In his role as Vice President and Project Manager, he was responsible for designing project design and scope, securing specialty sub-contractor expertise, report preparation and presentation. He has designed effective regulatory systems, claims process BPR, claims audits, reserve analysis, risk transfer analysis, loss projections and loss portfolio transfers.
Miller is well experienced in providing presentations to small and large groups, serving as expert witness in litigation and presenting public testimony to legislative committees. He is a nationally recognized expert on a wide range of workers; compensation topics having worked on and led multiple committees and working groups for the International Association of Industrial Accident Boards and Commissions (IAIABC) since 1995. His work has been published in the IAIABC Journal and utilized as framework for State law revisions.
Miller holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota and a Masters of Business Administration degree in Finance and Risk Management from the Carlson School of Management – University of Minnesota.
