ieAssessment

ieAssessment is the first step and evaluative component of our Evidence-based Health Solutions: Information tools and resources to help you improve the health of your members, control costs, and engage health care consumers as they have never been engaged before.

In individualized, broad-based approach

Our ieAssessment is an effective way to gain insights on immediate opportunities to optimize health and absence management, and also to help guide your longer-term health strategies. By taking into account population risk, programs, and work environment—as well as claims experience—our assessment results are uniquely tailored to your organization.

Results: Ingenix vs. industry average1

  • Financial outcomes and ROI2 1:6—better by double
  • Smoking cessation—better by quadruple.
  • Decreased fat intake—better by double.
  • Increased physical activity—better by half.

Begin by understanding

We start by gathering data to better understand your populations—those who are healthy, at risk, or diagnosed with chronic conditions—and the cost and risk drivers unique to your organization. Our proposed solution consists of three distinct components: a population risk assessment, a health assessment, and an assessment of your health-related costs.

Four steps to insight

1) We meet to confirm your objectives, review available information and data gathering, and walk through ieAssessment to answer questions. 2) We ask you to complete our online assessment. We collect additional data to complete the assessment. In cases where data is not available (e.g., health risk assessment, disability, workers’ compensation), we use proxy data and reports. 3) Our health and productivity consultants process results and complete a report of findings and recommendations. 4) We meet with you to present the ieAssessment report and recommendations and discuss how best to use the results to help guide strategic direction of your short- and long-term health and productivity efforts.
