Bull Services’ Business Intelligence Strength in the Public Sector Complements Ingenix’s Health Care Analytics, Data and Consulting Services

Minneapolis, Minn. and Chelmsford, Mass., Oct. 17, 2008 – Ingenix, a leading health information, technology and consulting services company, has acquired Bull Services, the premier business intelligence (BI) company in the U.S. public sector market. Ingenix purchased Bull Services (legal entity “Integris Inc.”) from its parent company, Groupe Bull of France. Terms were not disclosed.

“Bull Services brings Ingenix outstanding experience and expertise in the public sector health and human services market,” said Shelby Solomon, executive vice president of Commercial and Government Health Plan Solutions, Ingenix. “We can now offer our customers a powerful combination of data, analytic methods and applications, data warehousing and consulting services to meet the needs of some of the most critical state and federal health programs that serve our citizens.”

Jonathan Burbank, president and CEO of Bull Services, added, “We look forward to expanding the services we offer our clients in the Medicaid and health and human services market with access to Ingenix’s financial and care management applications as well as related consulting services. In addition, we will be positioned to deliver high impact business intelligence solutions to support key health program objectives more broadly across the health care industry.”

Based on statistics by the Kaiser Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured and U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), Bull Services’ solutions help manage one out of every three Medicaid dollars ($110 billion of $330 billion) and one out of four Medicaid beneficiaries (15 million of 60 million). Bull Services also helps agencies manage Women, Infant, and Children (WIC), child day care, and food- and cash-assistance programs, as well as court-related programs, many of which impact human services initiatives, such as foster care and child protective services. Client agencies have realized more than $2.5 billion in financial benefits, improved health care and human services outcomes, and enhanced program management and efficiency.
