Symmetry Suite 6.5 will primarily focus on content updates and performance issues for EBM Connect, our quality analysis tool that helps increase provider compliance with evidence-based care standards. Some of the major features of this release include additional National Standard Measures, annual HEDIS and Code updates, Multi-Threading capabilities and restart functionality.
Symmetry Suite 7.0 will keep us at the forefront of innovative and advanced analytic tools in the marketplace. Here is a preview of our Symmetry Suite 7.0 release:
Symmetry Episode Treatment Groups (ETGs). Ingenix responds to customer and marketplace needs with the Symmetry Suite, and version 7.0 continues that commitment to being at the forefront of the industry. The centerpiece of the 7.0 release enhances how ETGs work, in particular how differences in severity are captured for an episode of care. The core concepts that have made ETGs a market leader will still remain; however, more powerful information will be available to support improved severity adjustment and the application of ETG results. Some key features include:
- More clinically detailed ETG base classes. For example, Cardiomyopathy, Lymphoma and Multiple Myeloma; Cervical, Ovarian, and Uterine Cancer; Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome and Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
- More detailed descriptions of the specific comorbidities, complications and treatments that impact an episode. For example, output data will not only identify that the episode has one or more comorbidities, but will identify what the comorbidities are.
- Severity level within ETG base classes reflecting relevant complications and comorbidities for the episode. Severity modeling will reflect the specific characteristics of the particular ETG, improving both the accuracy and clinical relevance of the results.
- Flexibility in handling annual episodes for chronic ETGs.
- Enhanced outputs to support applications of the results.
Symmetry Episode Risk Groups/Pharmacy Risk Groups (ERGs/PRGs) . The Symmetry Suite risk tools will take advantage of the new base classes and severity adjustment capabilities provided by ETGs. The ERG and PRG risk weights will also be recalibrated to reflect more recent experience and changes in medical technology. The result will be improved accuracy in prediction.
Symmetry EBM Connect. EBM Connect will continue to track national standards and benefit from the ongoing review of the clinical validity of the existing product content. Also, in response to customer demand, we are adding rules editing capabilities to EBM Connect. Our clients will enjoy significantly increased flexibility and the ability to modify internal rules logic.
This list represents only a portion of what will be included in Symmetry Suite 7.0 and we will continue to provide greater detail about the coming changes.
