WinStrat has earned top category ranking in KLAS’ 2004, 2005 and 2006 Year End Report Cards

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. – January 30, 2007 – Ingenix, a leading health information company, announced today that its WinStrat™ Coding, Compliance and Reimbursement Management (CCRM) solution has once again been recognized as the top solution in its category. WinStrat received a first-place ranking in the general market solutions category of “Medical Records Coding” in “The Top 20: 2006 Year End Report Card” published by KLAS Enterprises, LLC, a leading source of health care information technology vendor performance data.

“Having WinStrat win its category in KLAS’ Year End Report Card is a testament to our solution’s rich functionality and the high levels of support that our company provides its customers,” said Kevin Lucey, vice president, Facility Solutions for Ingenix. “Although the KLAS ranking focuses on WinStrat’s use by providers, numerous payers have implemented WinStrat to better manage risk and increase savings by using prospective payment reimbursement methodologies.”

KLAS’ 2006 Year-End Report Card is based on data compiled over a 13-month period (October 15, 2005 through November 15, 2006) from health care provider organizations, which score the applications they use in 40 performance areas.

WinStrat is a comprehensive solution enabling health care provider and payer organizations to effectively manage coding, regulatory compliance and reimbursement. As one of the only desktop encoders available that offers both dictionary- and logic-based encoding, WinStrat allows providers to support coders of all experience levels and with different coding style preferences. For payers, WinStrat provides access to the extensive Ingenix Prospective Payment System (PPS) knowledge-base so that they can successfully utilize PPS for provider reimbursement.

WinStrat is a comprehensive client-server-based solution that can be integrated with the health information management solutions offered by many of the industry’s leading software developers. Ingenix also offers Web.Strat™, a browser-based version of WinStrat that enables coding to be seamlessly extended to remote locations.
