THEODORE CHIEN

Ted Chien is an Executive Vice President of Ingenix, where he leads the Consulting and Employer Solutions business group. Previously, Chien held positions with Watson Wyatt Worldwide as global director for the Group and Health Care practice, as the managing consultant for the Minneapolis office, the Group and Health Care national leader for thought leadership and innovation, the Group and Health Care practice leader for the Midwest region, and the manager for the Minneapolis Administrative Systems practice.
Chien has more than 20 years of consulting experience in strategic planning within the human resources, benefits, and health care fields. His areas of expertise include plan design, funding, administration, compliance, and communication of human resources programs with an emphasis on employee benefits and health care.
Chien has prior experience as a consultant with Coopers & Lybrand and A. Foster Higgins (now Mercer). He is a graduate of Math & Computer Science at the University of Illinois, and holds an MBA from the University of St. Thomas. His board affiliations have included the NCQA Employer Advisory Council, Minnesota Private College Council and the Presbyterian Homes and Services.
