LEE VALENTA
Chief Operating Officer, Ingenix
Lee Valenta serves as Chief Operating Officer of Ingenix. He directs the company’s operating units as well as it’s finance and technology functions. He is also responsible for merger/acquisition strategy, project management, and capital planning. He is a member of the UnitedHealth Group Executive Committee and the UHG Capital Management Committee.
Valenta has more than 20 years of experience in operations, finance, and mergers and acquisitions. Before joining Ingenix, he worked as a global managing partner for Arthur Andersen and served as part of the firm’s national health care practice responsible for directing consulting engagements and advising on mergers, acquisitions and valuations for variety of health care clients. He also spent eight years as chief financial officer and vice president of corporate development for Hunter-Keith, Inc., a Minneapolis-based private equity firm.
Valenta is a member of the American Society for Certified Public Accountants and is on the Board of Pillsbury United Communities. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Luther College.
