Larry Watkins is Ingenix Consulting’s electronic transaction leader and co-founder of Claredi, a provider of transactions compliance testing and certification software that was acquired by Ingenix in 2006. Mr. Watkins has more than 25 years of information systems experience.
He has been active in implementing and integrating healthcare electronic transactions for leading healthcare technology vendors, including Ingenix, Claredi, Athena health, Per-Se Technologies, and Misys.
Mr. Watkins is a recognized expert and leader in the area of healthcare (HIPAA) electronic transactions, as is evidenced by the many industry leadership positions he has held including:
- ANSI ASC X12N Health Care Task Group
- Workgroup for Electronic Data Interchange (WEDI) Board of Directors and the WEDI Strategic National Implementation Process (SNIP)
- Association For Electronic Health Care Transactions (AFEHCT)
Mr. Watkins has received numerous awards and is a sought-after speaker in the areas of electronic healthcare transaction standards, HIPAA transaction compliance and related issues.
